Special moves
In the Super Smash Bros. games, Falco essentially has the same moveset as Fox, but with some differences.
Type of move | Name | Effect |
---|---|---|
Standard (B button) | Blaster | Falco's blaster, unlike Fox's, cannot rapid fire, although it can stun opponents. |
Side (B button while holding left or right) | Falco Phantasm | Similar to Fox's Fox Illusion, Falco rapidly dashes back and forth, damaging opponents caught within. |
Up/recovery (B button while holding up) | Fire Bird | This move is essentially a downgraded variant of Fox's recovery move, Fox Fire, as it cannot burn opponents, and Falco travels a shorter distance. |
Down (B button while holding down) | Reflector | Falco generates an energy barrier, which can send enemies directly upward. |
Final Smash | Landmaster | In Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, Falco's Final Smash is Landmaster. Like Falco's other moves, this is also one of Fox's moves. The move involves Falco (or Fox) using a vehicle, also named Landmaster, to shoot giant blue lasers and ride into opponents. |
Team Star Fox | This is both Falco and Fox's Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. By using the move, Falco and other members of Star Fox ride their Arwings and open fire on opponents caught within their range. |
Super Smash Bros. Melee
In Super Smash Bros. Melee, Falco is an unlockable fighter. He can be unlocked by clearing 100-Man Melee or by playing 300 Melee matches. Once either criteria has been met, the player's fighter is sent to the Battlefield stage, where they must defeat Falco to unlock him.
