Star Fox 64, named Lylat Wars in Europe, is a Nintendo 64 rail shooter video game and the second installment of the Star Fox series of video games. It was both developed and created by Nintendo, and was released in 1997. Although Star Fox 64 is a follow-up to Star Fox, its main story is mostly the same, as it involves the mercenary group, Star Fox, having to save the Lylat System from Andross. At the time, Star Fox 64 was renowned for its quality voice acting and use of the Rumble Pak. Since the sixth generation of video game consoles, a rumble feature has become the standard for game controllers.
