Shadow Mario

Shadow Mario is the mysterious doppelganger of Mario and a primary antagonist in Super Mario Sunshine. He carries around the Magic Paintbrush, capable of creating goop and graffiti of varying colors, and has used it to pollute Isle Delfino prior to the game's events. Because Shadow Mario resembles Mario, many of the island's residents have falsely accused Mario of being the perpetrator, so the Delfino Plaza police have ordered Mario to clean up all the mess. Later on, Shadow Mario reveals himself to be Bowser Jr., the son of Bowser.

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Shadow Mario is featured within Bowser Jr.'s Final Smash, where he paints stripes of orange paint across the screen, damaging fighters who touch it.
